Cold Weather Accessories for Your Certified BMW

BMW in the SnowWhile it may seem that autumn has just barely started, we would like to remind you that now is a good time to check that emergency kit that you should have stashed in the back of your certified BMW vehicle. Even the best stocked emergency kit should be checked seasonally to be sure that you are ready for all emergency conditions. If you’ve already checked your kit and are certain that you have all the essentials in there, check out this list of non-essential but still handy to have cold weather gear for your certified BMW.

REMOTE STARTER — No matter how much you may love your certified BMW vehicle, chances are that you do not love trudging out into the cold to start the car, shivering while your car heats up. By getting an aftermarket remote controlled starter installed in your vehicle, you can enter a fully warmed up vehicle. How’s that for some winter luxury?

ICE SCRAPER — As most any Pennsylvania vehicle owner probably already knows, a good ice scraper is a daily use item for winter driving. While you probably already have one stashed in the back of your certified BMW vehicle, just waiting for winter, you may want to take a look at some of the newer ice scrapers on the market today. Newer ice scrapers boast ergonomic comfort handles, better and faster ice scraping power, and some even come with fleece sleeves to keep your hand out of the cold weather. There are even some rechargeable, heated models that melt the ice on your vehicle window rather than scraping it off.

HEATED SEAT COVERS — If your certified BMW vehicle does not have the BMW factory installed cold weather package that includes heated seats, after market heated seat covers are a great economical substitute.

HEATED TRAVEL MUGS — When it is freezing outside and all you want is a sip of your favorite hot beverage to help warm you up while you drive around, is there anything worse than discovering your favorite, formerly steaming hot beverage is now iced? Heated travel mugs, which plug into your certified BMW’s 12v accessory port, can help keep your coffee, tea, or cocoa piping hot as you drive around on a cold winter’s day.
